How we keep the record honest
Online totals are checked on the server and cached for five minutes, refreshing on a subsequent visit. Readings can be delayed; check their observation dates. Provider page totals are not confirmation of settlement to a charity.
- Only reviewed fundraising pages belonging to this initiative qualify. Charity-wide, team and parent campaign totals are excluded.
- Each JustGiving page has one stable provider ID. Duplicate page records are excluded until resolved.
- We use online donation amounts, excluding manually entered offline amounts and estimated Gift Aid. Provider-reported donations are not proof of money settled to a charity, and may be revised for refunds.
- Offline sales need their own checked report and unique transfer reference. A transfer cannot be added twice.
- If a sync fails, no new figure is published. The last reviewed reading keeps its date and is marked as older when applicable.
